Instructor Bio: | With over 20 years of experience, I am a seasoned quilter whose journey began at just 8 years old, in a mother-daughter quilt class. While my rst quilt may still lack binding, that early introduction to the world of quilting ignited a lifelong passion for color, fabric, texture, and ber arts. I continued honing my craft, sewing through my youth and helping my mother with her longarm quilting business. I also took part in Family Consumer Science courses throughout high school, further expanding my knowledge. My professional quilting career truly began in college, where I worked at a local quilt shop, learning about fabrics, notions, patterns, threads, and machines. Over 13 years, I built strong relationships with fellow quilters and customers, running a successful longarm rental program, ruler club, and o ering education classes for experienced quilters. During this time, I also started quilting for the public, discovering my love for helping others bring their cherished quilt projects to life. In 2023, after my local quilt shop closed, I took the leap into entrepreneurship, purchasing my Handi Quilter Forte and launching my own business, "Mae We Quilt." Now, I quilt from the comfort of my home, o ering edge-to-edge quilting, free-motion quilting, ruler work, and custom quilting, all while continuing to connect with quilters through social media on Facebook and Instagram. As a teacher, my goal is to help quilters of all levels gain con dence in their own quilting style. Specializing in edge-to-edge quilting both with Pro-Stitcher and free motion, ruler work, and custom quilting with Pro-Sticher. I o er a supportive and engaging environment that fosters creativity and growth, ensuring that each student feels empowered and inspired. Maegan enjoys living in Bryan, Texas with her dog and extended family nearby. Check out her website and presence on social media: Instagram: @MaeWeQuilt Facebook: Mae We Quilt |
